Indigenous Youth Roots Grants

The Small Funding Stream will provide funding of up to $15,000 to Indigenous youth-led projects and groups non-profits that seek to create impactful community change and increase the wellness, resiliency and engagement of Indigenous youth. This stream will next open for applications in July 2025.

Catherine Donnelly Foundation – Civic Engagement for Social Change and Environment Stream

Applicants seeking a grant will submit a Letter of Inquiry via our on-line application portal. The inquiry letter should include a brief description of how the project achieves the goals of the Foundation; a short overview of the project or purpose for which assistance is required; the organization’s history and objectives; along with a brief budget and time-line of activities.

Braiding Knowledges Canada – Land-Based Learning Funding

The current call invites proposals for initiatives running through Summer and Fall 2025 and Winter 2025/26 (until March 2026). Eligible projects include Land-based Learning Initiatives in Canada, including urban, rural, and remote learning camps, that involve youth and have an emphasis on the braiding of knowledges. We welcome projects and collaborative partnerships with the potential for long-term programming and multi-year funding, aiming to establish, build upon, and scale best practices in land-based learning, while also building local and institutional capacity over the long term. BKC welcomes proposals with estimated costs up to $100,000 CDN.

Braided Infrastructure Program (First People’s Cultural Council)

Up to $70,000 in funding is available for B.C. First Nations infrastructure projects that conserve, repair or develop B.C First Nations’ cultural heritage, arts and language infrastructure. This could include: Physical infrastructure such as buildings, trails and structures that support public and community access. Construction or renovation of a permanent designated space to connect cultural activities.

Ocean Wise Ocean Action Grant

The Ocean Action Grant is a microgrant that will provide youth across Canada with up to $5000 in funding to lead an individual or collaborative project that contributes to positive change for the environment.

New Relationship Trust – Youth and Education Grants

Government of Canada – Innovation in Education Program
