Laidlaw Foundation – Indigenous Youth & Community Futures Fund

We also support the transmission of cultural practices and knowledge to future generations.

Braiding Knowledges Canada 2025 Gathering

This gathering will convene Indigenous organizations and communities, university researchers, government representatives, business and industry leaders, and not-for-profit partners to share and mobilize knowledge generated through Indigenous-led and co-led research initiatives. A $15,000 Knowledge Braiders Award is also available for those interested in presenting their work (deadline to apply is January 17, 2025).

Join us for a tour of the new YOLO website, a place to connect with others running or supporting on the land programs for Indigenous youth across Canada. The website (www.youthontheland.ca) has sections on funding, tools/resources, news/events, and programs / examples of what others are doing across the country. There will also be time for some discussion and sharing about the on the land programs that attendees are connected to so that we can all learn from each other, and time to provide feedback on the website to shape its ongoing revisions. Telus – Indigenous Communities Fund (ICF)

The ICF provides one-time grants to Indigenous-led organizations such as Band Councils, Indigenous Governments or representative groups, community groups and non-profits. Please allow 12 weeks following the application deadline to receive a response regarding your application status. Applications are due by midnight (your local time) on the following dates: Spring: February 4 to March 4, 2025, or until the first 200 applicants are received. Fall: September 11 to October 9, 2025, or until the first 200 applicants are received.

Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation – Action Grants

Action Grants support projects that directly involve people and communities to change behaviours and/or practices leading to measurable conservation outcomes in British Columbia. Projects should work to create solutions or sustainable practices, or mitigate human-caused impacts to prevent or reduce impacts to species or ecosystems.
