Willie is a Metis author from Northern Ontario who now lives on the beautiful territory of the Miqma people in Abegweit. She has a pug and a pony and spends most of her time working in Indigenous education to help end gender-based violence and writing children’s books. She has a degree in Indigenous studies and a Master’s in archaeology and is a lifelong learner- but she has always learned the most from the land. She has been blessed to have worked in many First Nations, supporting youth in land-based learning in places like the YT, BC, and Northern Ontario. She is excited to be joining YOLO and hopes her skills can help support the team and the goals.
