The Beverly and Qamanirjuaq Caribou Management Board says it has funding available for projects that teach school-aged youth on-the-land skills.
In a Wednesday news release, the board said it provides a total of $10,000 per year through its On the Land Program. Programs that expose youth in Beverly and Qamanirjuaq caribou communities to hunting, trapping and on-the-land skills passed on from experienced hunters, trappers and Elders are eligible for funding.
