We were pleased to welcome Dr. Mandee McDonald, who shared insights from the Yellowhead Institute’s Special Report on Indigenous Land-Based Education. The report highlighted the importance of centering Indigenous knowledges, practices, and responsibilities to the Land within educational systems, while identifying structural challenges and opportunities for deeper transformation. Dr. McDonald guided participants through the report’s key findings and reflections, providing context and pathways for how this work can continue to inform and strengthen Indigenous Land-Based Education in schools and communities today.
